# Character Recovery, Restarts, and Grace Periods on Love Story RP

Death and server restarts both carry rules that keep scenes fair and closable. This page covers the Character Recovery Rule after a downed scene and the 15-minute windows around every restart.

## Character Recovery Rule (CRR)

1. **Do not request EMS unless stuck/bugged.** Use `/911` or **G**.
2. **You must wait 10 minutes before re-engaging RP after being downed.**
3. **You cannot return to the same scene during recovery.**
4. **Injury RP must continue after treatment.**
5. **Memory of death is not retained unless re-informed in RP.**

## Server Restart Policy (The 15-Minute Rule)

All roleplay interactions, including criminal activities, police pursuits, and hostile engagements, must be concluded at least **15 minutes prior** to a scheduled or announced server restart. This ensures that scenarios are not cut short by the server going offline, which can lead to "Combat Logging" disputes or lost items.

Similarly, a **15-minute "Grace Period"** is in effect immediately following a server restart. During this time, players should focus on getting situated, retrieving vehicles, and resuming their roles. Initiating new high-intensity scenes, such as robberies, kills, or major arrests, is not permitted until this window has passed.

Any interactions that occur within these 15-minute windows are considered invalid and may be voided by staff. Repeatedly ignoring this rule to bait others or escape consequences may result in a **ban**.
